Cookie Policy
Effective date: 4 June 2026
Last updated: 4 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies DuelaPay uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. It must be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
We obtain your consent for non-essential cookies through the cookie consent banner that appears on your first visit to our website. You can update your preferences at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of every page.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit — such as your preferred language or whether you have previously consented to cookies — making your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies — temporary, deleted when you close your browser
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them
- First-party cookies — set by DuelaPay directly
- Third-party cookies — set by external services we use (for example, Google Analytics)
2. Cookies We Use
We group our cookies into three categories. You control which categories are active through our cookie consent manager.
2.1 Essential Cookies — Always Active
These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They cannot be switched off. No personal data is sold or shared as a result of these cookies.
| Cookie name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
dp_cookie_consent |
Stores your cookie consent preferences (Essential, Analytics, Marketing) so you are not asked again on every visit. | 12 months |
dp_theme |
Stores your light/dark mode preference. | Persistent (localStorage) |
| WordPress session cookies | Standard WordPress session management (wp-settings, wordpress_logged_in). Required only when logged in to the WP Admin area. | Session / 2 weeks |
2.2 Analytics Cookies — Optional
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website. The data is anonymised and aggregated — we cannot identify you individually from this data. Analytics cookies are active only if you have given your consent.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number. Used to calculate visit, session, and campaign data for site analytics reports. | 2 years |
_ga_[ID] |
Google Analytics 4 | Stores and counts page views for the current session. | 2 years |
_gid |
Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes users. Expires after 24 hours. | 24 hours |
We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. Your full IP address is never stored. Google’s Privacy Policy applies to data processed by Google — see policies.google.com/privacy.
2.3 Marketing Cookies — Optional
Marketing cookies allow us to show you relevant DuelaPay content on other platforms (such as social media). They are active only if you have given your consent. We currently do not use marketing cookies on our public website — this category is reserved for future campaigns.
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| No marketing cookies are currently set. This table will be updated when campaigns are activated. | |||
